Seabob,I have a Garelock ladder, which I believe is similar to the Armstrong but is white painted aluminum, and I also still have the swing down ladder for the inevitable times I jump in the water before deploying the Garelock . The Garelock mounts on an angled bracket, which slopes it away from the location where the port tab would go, but the gap is small and as you mentioned would create a safety issue if I could even fit a tab there. I'm not sure how big of a tab I would need, so I dont know how big of a spacer would be required, but I think it would need to be pretty big. I also don't know if the bracket would interfere with the tab cylinder. I previously had the Garelock on my 200 Osprey, but it was mounted to a small swim platform. Ever see a swim platform mounted on a 205?Oh, and go Bucs! I hope we do a little better this year (I'm in Crystal River, a little bit north of you). Thanks,Craig
Craig,If you want, I can bop up to your place and take a look at the boat. I can also help REAL well on a set of Bennett tabs, should you decide to pull the trigger. PM me if you are interested. Where at in CR are you?
Thanks Bob and CB. If I do go with tabs, I will need to use what will safely fit, as I do have a concern with feet hitting the edge while ascending the ladder. It is good to hear that the smaller tabs were successful on the 23.
