Just picked up my Aquasport
« on: October 10, 2010, 08:41:13 AM »
I just inherited an Aquasport 19-6, it's a 77 model that belonged to my father-in-law. Towed it back from Miami to North Carolina yesterday. The boat is in excellent shape, stored under cover most of it's life. It has an 89 model Johnson 110 and also a Johnson 15. Both motors run fine as my FIL kept them fired up frequently. Hoping to take her out to the lake today after more cleaning and checking it over.

So, did you take her out?  How did she run?

Didn't get to go out, having issues with the trim/tilt motor and a couple of minor things. Hopefully will get it sorted it out this week.

You are going to love that boat!  Amazing how little they changed.  I have a 1996 Osprey 200.  Same hull, different name.  Enjoy!

I like how the bimini lays in the floor out of the way when collapsed.  That's nice.  Mine just gets in the way no matter how I have it, even when its wrapped up and in the air supported by the metal rods.  Very Nice boat BTW  :thumleft:

sweet ride, Appears to be in excellent condition.

About that Bimini 1.I bet that's the original Bimini top and 2. Can you take a closer pic of the hardware that its attached to.  I have the same Bimini set-up on my boat but I cant figure out how to attach the Bimini to the hardware on the sides of the gunwale.

Badonquasport196,
Look at this ad from the 70's. http://www.classicaquasport.com/gallery ... photo/2726
The Bimini was designed to lay right in front of the casting deck.
