85 aqua sport 222 express family fisher question
« on: February 18, 2017, 12:15:34 PM »
Hello everyone.  So this is my first time looking at a boat like this and I was wondering what are some things that I need to ensure I look at before I commit to buying this boat.  It is for me and my wife and kids to be able to get out in different kinds of water.  Looking for things that will give me issues and what to look at. I have attached the listing for the boat so yall can see the pictures.  It looks like a decent deal to me but wanted to get information from people that know these boats a little better than I do.  Thanks in advance yall and hopefully soon I may see ya in the water.

Here is a link to the 84 catalog so now you're bracketed.

Note the following:
The Hialeah Fla. built XF hull (what you are looking at on CL) is a CCP hull with the XF cap. Specs are identical. Ride comfort in choppy water may be slightly better due to the weight forward attitude of the cabin. The "buyer's guide" is your friend. Unless replaced, the fuel tank is questionable as are the deck and transom areas.

Good luck. :thumright:

Thank yall very much.  I know the gouges don't work so I am gonna have to test the float anyway.  I planned on doing a full inspection on the tank.  Just not looking forward to filling it back up at 1.94 a gallon lol.
