Dolphin T-Top
« on: September 22, 2015, 04:27:31 PM »
Looking to buy an inexpensive T-Top and I came across the Dolphin T-Top. From the pics it looks like it is pretty sturdy but I wanted to know if anyone has any insight on these T-tops.

For that amount of money I would look at great Lakes skipper. The usually have a decent selection of overstock factory tops at just above the price of that one, plus they will be built quite a bit more stout than what you are looking at.

The price for the top is $699... I am not seeing anything in that range.  Is there a special section that I am missing?

Not sure where you are located (Tip: you can add your location to your profile and it'll show up under your username) but maybe the surplus places have something reasonable.
Wait, this is MARINE - there is nothing reasonable  :s_laugh:
Seriously, check the marine surplus places, you can negotiate the price - also, what size boat are you putting it on?

Don's marine surplus in St Pete and Marine Surplus in Bradenton/Sarasota.  I think they both have websites (at least MS does).

I work right across the street from Marine surplus and can take a peek.  I looked back through your posts and see you have a 175 Osprey.  Are you thinking of mounting the top to the deck or to the console or both?  How wide is your console - 30"?

Also, keep an eye on craigslist. Thats where I got  mine which is VERY high quality and was in great shape. Only took a few minor mods to make it fit. It came off a 22ft seahunt boat BTW.
