Title: Rub Rail selection for 1972 19’6
Post by: Fish Head on May 02, 2019, 09:35:19 PM
Time to start looking for a new rub rail. Looks like the “Taco - V11-3426BWK50-2” is going to fit the hull. Do you guys think this is a good choice or has anyone else used this particular model? And were you satisfied with the fit? Hate buying stuff that doesn’t fit and than have to do the whole return thing. First 2 photos are the original army man green rail, 3rd is the rail offered by Taco. Appreciate any feedback, Cheers T

Looks like a near perfect match.  New rub rail makes a huge difference.

Cool I’am thinking the same. Taco is quality product right? The only other company I could find was Integrity Marine for a rub rail and the dimensions were not as close as the Taco’s was. Only bummer is I was wanting a white rub rail with black insert. Taco does not have that option, oh well, wha cha gunna do  :confused1:

I guess I have some time to decide.Lake St.Clair has some all time high water levels right now with all the rain we are getting plus Lake Superior having been 95% frozen over this past winter.Normally the water level is about 3 feet lower than the finger docks!! The last pic is Gull Island (home of Jobbie Nooner debauchery boat party) with the top of just one tree sticking out of the water, lol!

Wow. Lots of water there.
Anything white on a boat will mot be white for long - go with the black Taco rubrail or reuse the old one.

10-4, makes a lot of sense..... been awhile since I spent every Sun afternoon of the boating season cleaning all the “white” parts on the boat... :57:
