Lots of work to do!
« on: June 16, 2011, 06:04:50 PM »
So I have everything I need to coat the deck with durabak 18, refinish the teak with teak guard, cut holes in the rear compartments to replace the thru hulls and add ball scuppers, then put deck hatches over the holes cut to get to the scuppers, and replace old hardware around the boat!  This should keep me bust for a while!

Well I began tonight.  I connected the VHF and gps, then took the two rear hatches off to start sanding and cleaning.  I'll take some pics as I go!

From that pic JD, I'm surprised she still floated.

I see that's a different brand of teak guard than I used. I'd be curious how it works out.

Nah john, you took great care of her, but you know how I am.  I've been collecting parts for a few months.  The next thing is trim tabs.  But I need to finish these projects first.

In reality, jd you inspired me.  All the work we've been doing to yours, I couldn't let the old girl fall behind.

So today I came home and decided to work on the boat.  I started by buffing the side out to get it ready for the new decals for the sides.  Got one side done, one to go.

Also put the refinished rear hatches on!  They look great!  Now to do the rest of the teak.

Spent the day yesterday working on the boat.  Got the tabs installed and wired, not hooked up yet, but installed.  Replaced the thru hull fittings for the self bailers, and installed the new hatches where I had to cut the holes in the rear of the boat.

Then I got all of the teak out, removedthe coffin box, and removed the leaning post.  Sore as heck today, but well on the way to having my projects completed.

Complete the teak, coat the deck and it's done!
