Trailer Swivel Jack location
« on: April 25, 2015, 05:52:59 PM »
I had to move the wheel mount forward because it interfered with the winch, so I moved the Swivel Jack about 4 inches forward and that cleared but I am wonder what effect that has on the entire system?

I cannot mount the wheel low because it hangs up on the ramp.
I can combine the mounts by simply drilling the holes bigger on the swivel jack and that will work but I like the idea of two separate pieces for ease of replacement.

I don't think there will be any impact. Looks good.

Thanks for the update. I also checked and it does not interfere with the actuator:

Now that I see the entire setup do you think it might be easier to use the crank with the spare mounted on the opposite side of the crank?  The spare will probably be in your way and you'll be cussing it all the time. Then you can probably slide it toward the aft some too?
