AquaSport 170 striper Bimini tops
« on: June 12, 2020, 12:57:03 PM »
I was seeing what types and best sizes of Bimini tops would be best for my old girl.  I’ve seen pictures of some that are kind of rounded at top and some that are flat like a roof.  Not sure if the different names of the styles or if it’s just brand specific.  Pictures would be appreciated and sizes you went with. Thanks Randy

Hi Randy,
There are a couple of shade devices - a Bimini made from frame and fabric, like Sunbrella, and then there are T-tops that can have a soft or hard top. 170s are pretty tippy by nature and T-tops are really not a good choice for the 170.  I can steer my 170 just by stepping right or left of the console. Some people have added them but a good tall Bimini does a good job.
I have not seen a Bimini that was flat on top, all have been bowed to shed water.  Best to talk to a couple local canvas companies for a quote.
