Porta Pump(Bobs Jac Plate) Electrical
« on: April 25, 2018, 03:37:06 PM »
I’m installing the pump for my Porta bracket. It is a Bobs machine type pump.

The instructions say not to put a CB in the main power line.  It says connect directly to the battery. I had originally planned a 30A breaker in the main power supply.

Wonder how you guys hooked them up?

Also since I am asking. Do power pole pumps need a CB inline as well?

Thanks

Awesome thanks!

I have it wired for that already so I really didn’t want to change it.  The pump Came prewired with a 30amp fuse but it is in the red switch line.

My concern was that the pump says it draw 40amps average and 89 max?

The instructions say don’t put an inline fuse, that is has an ambient CB?

The problem is that the supply line wouldn’t be protected though.
