You are going to have to measure this and determine it based on how the engine fits under the console.  Are you going with a reduction gear?  Which transmission are you planning to use -  are you going straight inboard or with an outdrive?  Power taken off the front of the engine or the rear?  All of these factors contribute to how you locate the engine, the angle of the engine on the hull, and need for a driveshaft or propshaft.  Lots of questions need to be answered before you are ready to measure distance from the engine to the driving system.

Since Aquasport didn't start offering an inboard until they came out with the 12 degree hull ('72/73), ('74 was the first inboard for a 22-2 http://www.classicaquasport.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=558) asking for measurements on a flatback (pre '72) model will likely produce nothing, since no one has one (unless someone home-made it, like you're trying).
GoneFission knew this and was offering info on what you'd need to do it from scratch.  Dig around in our 22-2 Osprey rebuild forum - lots of info in there. I do remember someone in Calif (I think) that added a tunnel and inboard to his hull. Maybe some else remembers this also and can dig it up.

You're thinking of this old thread:
https://classicaquasport.com/smf/index.php?topic=11119.msg108737#msg108737

Link to his pics:

No dimensions that I can find. No need to waste time looking at the Flattie rebuilds cause no one (as noted) on this Forum has rebuilt as an inboard.

Having never built a boat, I'm curious as to the need for this dimension, especially since this is a one off custom. Hopefully BD will post up that measurement when he arrives at it for future members wishing to add an inboard drive to their Flattie. Again, clueless on boat building (I just drive em' ), doesn't adding that type drive kind of defeat the whole purpose of a flatback hull? :ScrChin:

Edit: Just thinking, you might try the ABC site. They have a guy who has built many boats. He may have what you're seeking.

Then why ask

Especially for a measurement with a ton of variables, in something that was never built (assuming its an actual 67 222)

Well, I tried to be pleasant with my reply but I now realize that my reputation over at ABC will be tarnished even more since I sent Dog that Barks over there.  :nah:
