Fish On Radar Arch
« on: January 30, 2018, 10:25:35 AM »
Considering installing one of these Arches on my 84 200XF.  Anybody have any experience with the product or installation? I hate my Bimini and this seems like a perfect combo.

Looks good and will give you some shade for sure.  Make sure you really "back" the install points because going down the freeway at speed may rip if off your boat.

I considered one of those when I had my 200XF. Keep in mind that the wings on the 200XF are not very structural. Not sure if they are strong enough to mount something like that to them without some beefing up . They are only held in place by small screws along the bottom, front edge and a block of wood on the aft end.

Several years ago I considered this.

http://www.atlantictowers.com/products_wa_tee.php

It has gone up in price about $300.

The structural support is better (IMHO) to the arch both for towing strength at 65mph and mounting for the reasons Wing listed above.

Good luck.

You can consider a custom Arch as well
