1975 Aquasport 22 2

I own a 1975 Aquasport 22-2 that needs to have the floor replaced.  I know next to nothing about this kind of work, and have some concern about the strength and durability of the bond between the new floor and the material it's joined to.  Can it ever be as strong as the original glass?  Also, can anyone suggest someone in the NJ-DE area who can do the work?

Can it ever be as strong as the original glass?

Short answer is yes.  You don't need to look too deeply into these boats to see that many shortcuts were taken in their construction, voids, areas of poor adhesion.  With a bit of planning, you can make connections that are mechanically and chemicaly strong.  In many cases you can improve on the original.
