Garbard drain plug Sea bob. ?????? Anybody????
« on: June 04, 2017, 09:30:16 AM »
My drain plug is a little loose so I removed it. West system epoxy on the holes  and going to spin and re drill. And 5200 in place. My question is. Is the original drain plug brass or bronze ?  I went to west marine and they only had brass      I'm asking because I want to know if I should re use old one ore use the west marine one.    Also. When I removed drain it had stainless screws  is that a problem with dissimilar metals ?  Will I have an issue with that?  Thanks

If yours is like mine its plated and over what is a good question. I wouldn't sweat this too much - make sure you bed everything in 4000UV or 5200.  Don't over think this.
