246FF Cloudy windshield glass
« on: November 30, 2016, 07:09:00 AM »
Is there anything I can do to fix it? Looks like the original glass is delaminating or something . Was wondering if there was anything I can do short of replacing it to save it?
Thanks guys

not sure without a picture, if you have the real glass windshield or a plexi-glass. if it's real glass, you could possibly use one of those flitz balls on a drill to buff it out.It could be some type of air intrusion into the glass, hard to say without seeing it.

if it's the plexi windshield- that's called "crazing" I believe. it's just a matter of time (usually a looong time after being exposed to UV) that causes it. and I don't think there is anything that can be done besides replacement.

The windshield on a FF should be real laminated safety glass.  It is possible the lamination layer between the glass is starting to separate and get cloudy.  As said we need to have a picture to give you better advice.

I believe it is laminated safety glass I'll take a picture later  and post it up. The glass itself is clear but the middle layer looks cloudy.
