Filler recommendations?
« on: May 18, 2016, 07:45:54 PM »
Anyone out there have a recommendation for a good filler? I have been using epoxy thickened with cabosil. Although it has worked extremely well for me, it's kind of a pain in the butt to keep mixing and it's the absolute worst to sand.  I know there are other additives like microballoons Etc.  that I can add to the Epoxy as well.  But I was hoping maybe somebody out there has used a good pre-mixed filler with good results.  As always thank you for the feedback.

Pre-mixed? Nope. I have always mixed my own epoxy & micro balloons. Not really that big a deal if you get organised with decent sized containers, good flat mixing sticks, pump pack dispensing/measuring epoxy (like WEST) elbow grease and a particle mask. Easy to sand too.

I have used Total Boat from Jamestown Distrbuters and it is pretty easy to sand.
