Fishbox drain question

Bob....I see the pie you were referring to on the vertical wall of casting deck. Thanks for digging through pics.
What worries me is whether I can get to both the outer hull (low enough)AND the bottom of the fishbox where drain is located. Maybe your arms are 4' long, 2" diam and made of rubber......but might be a trick for this fella...
Is there any specific location the TH should be placed (other than below the fishbox drain!) or things to consider.
I might just get cold feet about cutting her up and just throw fish in a cooler! A BIG cooler

As you can see, the lip of the top of the fish well is well inward of the actual tank edges.  I would use a router or dremel of some type that you can adjust the depth so you're just barely going through the back side until you know that you're not cutting through something that you shouldn't.

Pretty much what I was gonna say in regards to what Rick meant.

I'm a slender guy.  Maggie says I have blood, bones, and muscle...that's it, no fat.  So I have a distinct advantage...

I looked at some pics of the missing TH on other boats. Is there any specific location or just keep it somewhere above waterline, below fishbox, and I guess a bit aft of front wall casting deck .

Exactly.  From that pie, you go starboard to the hullside, port to the drain fitting.  Pretty much in a lateral line...

Keep in mind the Walk around (Explorer) fish boxes are in the aft of the boat, so the bottom of the fishbox is WELL below the water line.  So the only way to drain it while in the water is to pump it out or drain it into the bilge.  So Capt Bob if your Explorer/ WAC didn't come with a factory fishbox pump out that is why it drains into the bilge. (Maybe the pumps came on later models?)  I STRONGLY doubt the 200 Osprey forward fish box drained into the bilge from the factory.  It either drained over board or it has a pump out.

Bruce, IIRC, on Wes's 200 Osprey, there WAS a fishbox pumpout pump set up similar to how yours is, with the pump attached to the backside of the drain.  I looked through my pb album for Wes's boat but unfortunately didn't take any pics of that area...

Unless - I missed something here. Did you ever find out what the Clear Hose was and where it was attached?
