Hey guys, new to the page. First off im amazed at all the good imput and support here. I definitely will be needing it soon!
Any way i just purchased a 1975 222 boat motor and trailer for 2500 bucks. The boat is in good shape with a solid floor, transom and hull. There is a soft spot around the bilge hatch which is common i have read. She is just about fishable. Im changing the stearing cable/helm tomorrow, she was pretty locked up. I found it interesting that the boat never had bottom paint and that may be the reason why it is in good shape.
The motor is a 1984-1989 yamaha 150 precision blend that has great compression and is clean like a hounds tooth.

Im debating ripping up the floor and redoing the cap this winter. The cap is the only rough part of the boat. Shes sound but a little soft in a few spots. I will update as i go throught the process. I have done minimal glass work on the  party boat i work on, so this will be a new challenge.
I didnt mention this is my first boat, and i want to make her new again

Nice looking clean boat. Good luck and go catch some fluke.
