cuddy cabin carpet/hull liner
« on: August 08, 2016, 08:00:20 AM »
Hi all!

I want to replace the carpet in my explorer cuddy cabin.  I want to match the gray carpet.  Anyone know which one is an exact match.

Also,  anyone in the Cape Cod area interested in helping me install?  I will pay not looking for any favors.

thanks!!!

I can't help you but maybe you can help me. I have been searching for a carpet pattern for the cabin of my 275 Explorer. Do you have one?

I think a surplus place may have the "mouse fur" that is usually used on the headliners.

Yeah its called rat hair or mouse fur depending on who you ask. You won't find a pattern. The stuff comes on a roll and can stretch to form over compound shapes very well.  The builder just cuts off a chunk to a size a bit larger than the area they are covering.  Then they just stretch it into place while gluing it with contact cement. It's more of an art....
