true.  i told him i didnt care if it took 2 more months.  just do it right, make it look nice and keep it dry.  as long as i see some kind of progress its fine.  be he will go 5-6 days in between touching it.  i know he is busy so im not bitching at him.  but what i was told would be 2-3 weeks and is working on week #6 now and not even half way there.

I think boat builders are like auto body shops.  NEVER tell them to take their time... if you do you can triple or quadruple the amount of time it will take to get it back.  I had a buddy of mine that had a small body shop next to my workshop.  I'd be in my shop working and I'd overhear him talking to a customer...  "oh it will only take a few days...  I'll get right on it and get it back to you"  I'd be in my shop trying not to burst out laughing...   knowing there was no way in heck that was going to happen...  I saw him give that line to several customers....  only to see the car take WEEKS to get done...  He would see me and smirk.... after the customer left I would bust out laughing....  he'd be like "what?"  to which I would reply "that poor SOB isn't going to see his car for a month you lying rat!"    Too bad he passed away from a brain tumor...  he was a funny guy.

  SWEET - came out beautiful Chris  :adore01:
Like the swim platforms the owner made and that he went with the red on the bracket too.  Looks brand new.

So you have another of these boats or something else coming in?

Funny ya say that, one of the owners is a welder and actually made those. Im brainstorming one for my rig too...

Yea got an 89 23fter on blocks right now. I think they called it a 246 with the integrated bracket. Little better shape too!

I'm sure we'll enjoy the redo of that one also. Look forward to it.
