Looking good  :thumleft:

I just started the fairing process so I can imagine how nice it must have felt to shoot that first coat of primer.

Second verse, same as the first.  I got the aft interior hull sides fair.  I added fillets in the corners.  Today, I'll be sanding the fillets into a nice radius, and hopefully, tomorrow I'll be priming.  I'm looking forward to finishing the paint and moving on to rigging.

The aft interior hull sides are now primed.  I still need to repair a few spots and fill some pin holes, but I hope to be spraying the cap and interior next week.

While I was at it, I went ahead and primed the footrest for my console along with the hatch covers for the anchor locker and fuel fill access.

The high build revealed quite a few pinholes and tiny low spots.  I spent quite a bit of time filling and sanding to get things to my satisfaction.  Cleaning up the corners where the stiffeners intersect was especially time consuming.  Looking back, I think I  would core the hull sides.  I think that 1/2" double cut divynicell applied in 12 x 12 squares like tile would have yielded a good result without resorting to vacuum bagging. This would have saved a lot of finish work.

Oh well, would have, should have, I'm looking forward now.  I shot the final primer.  I'll finish sanding it today, and tomorrow I plan on spraying paint.  I hope the weather forecast holds.  By next weekend, I should have the console and leaning post in, and start on the non-skid.  I've got some soft sand rubber, fine and medium, to mix into the paint and roll.

Today I sprayed the hull interior with Kingston Gray.  The color is lighter than these photos make it look.  It's the same color I used on the hull.

You are motivating me to keep fairing and sanding a lot more than I want to.  :nSalute:

Glad you weren't "bugged" by the lovebug season - I remember when I sprayed several parts I would come back out and there they were in the gelcoat I just sprayed.  Your boat is looking great Michael.

Yeah, the lovebugs were all over last week when I was priming, but they didn’t make a showing yesterday.  I hope my luck holds when I spray the cap today.

I sprayed the cap today.  A few bugs and more than a few drips made their way into the outside cap.  I predict a round of wet sanding and compounding in my future.

It's kind of funny.  The interior hull sides and the inside of the cap turned out great, but for some reason, I couldn't quite get things adjusted right for the outside of the cap, maybe the tent was just a bit to closed in to allow a proper spray distance.
