« on: April 26, 2018, 03:40:31 PM »
hello i am about to install a trolling motor and was looking for any advice that may help me in locating a place for the batteries and any insight on mounting the tm. i will be installing a mini kota 72" with the quick release bracket on the bow and need to find a home for two additional batteries. any insight would be appreciated. thanks.

I’m not sure about the 86, but many CCPs had a compartment in front of the coffin box, even if the hatch was never cut.  With a little judicious exploration, you might find that your boat has an ideal compartment for batteries already there.  Would probably need to be beefed up a bit to support the weight though.
