No power at console 1999 205 osprey
« on: May 18, 2019, 05:57:15 PM »
Was putting in New bilge and must have disturbed saltwater washdown which is crusty and inop or moderator pump likewise inop. Put on battery 1 at isolator ( made by guest). Battery started to smoke. Lovely. At the isolator there are 2 fuses 1 was 7.5 amp
The other a 30 amp. I'm figuring at 1 time they were both 7.5.
Checked that big blue connector under console and no power. No power at console even w/ key on. No trim from throttle or at outboard. Any body with info would be much appreciated. I'm thinking isolator but dont want to change it for the heck of it. I am going to do a diode test on it tomorrow.

The normal CB/fuse for the dash is 30A on the main wire from the house battery. The CB for a starting circuit is 125A, maybe higher for the newer engines - not a pro on them.
