29ft Aquasport Tournament master sportfisherman
« on: July 13, 2012, 04:17:14 PM »
I recently purchased a 29ft Aquasport tournament master, but i can't seem to find any specs on the boat. I would like to know what the person capacity is and what size and pitch the props are supposed to be. I can't seem to get the rpms over 3500. If anyone has any idea where i can find out this information please let me know.....

I recently purchased the same model boat and was having the same problem. I just changed the oil and filters as well as the fuel filters and it seemed to have made a big difference in the performance. Just a thought. Let me know what you come up with.

19x19 4-blades with some cup was where the magic started to happen for me with carb'd Vortec 350's.  Was slightly over-propped, but pretty close.

I have a 1988 290 TM with 350 Crusaders that are 260 HP.

My props that came with the boat are 19 x 21   3-blades

I run the engines at about 2900 RPM for cruising, top end is about 4,200 RPM on mine

The 1987 290 I just purchased has 350's @ 260-270 horse and is pushing 3400-3500 at wide open throttle. The previous owner stated that both engines were just re built and have less than 20 hours on them. He purchased it right after the engines were rebuilt and he isn't sure if the 18 inch props are original. I have requested the pitch and the gearbox ratio as well as shaft bore. I'm currently on a project in Saudi Arabia and as the boat is sitting on the hard in Wildwood, NJ. I would like to have the props changed before she is put in. Can anyone tell me what WOT should be for this boat and proper or best prop set up? I'm thinking 17 x 16 would be an improvement......any thoughts???

I have a 1988 290 with the 350's @260 hp original with 1400 hours and wind up to 4400 WOT with 19 x 19 3 blade props.  The average for this boat is 4200-4600 depending on props, load, bottom condition, etc.
