Hi everybody. Here's a quick update.  I'm putting the boat in the shop Thursday to have the trim problem fixed and to have her checked and made ready like I do before every season.  While she was sitting, I removed the seat and back cushion from on top of the livewell and I'm going to an upholstery shop Wednesday.  I talked to the guy today and he seems confident that he can remake these seats (I'm sure that won't be cheap) and I'll address the ladder when my boat comes back.

One question: The damage depicted in the picture above is into the hull fiberglass.  I don't know how or when this happened.  Is this something I can repair myself and if so, can this be done outside?

You can fix that yourself. Marinetex will work but will show more. You can also get bondo glass at wally world, fill and sand it then use gelcoat on top. The gel will look nicer but the marinetex is easier.

Gracias.  Just for experience, I'm going to try the bondo/gelcoat way.  You guys are great.

Whats up everybody.  I took those messed up ugly seats over to Moorestown Auto-Boat Upholstery in  Moorestown NJ and they're making me new seats, going to even throw some teal color in them at my request.  They hit me up for $280.00. That sounds reasonable since they're making totally new seats with marine materials.  Meanwhile, the boat's off to the shop tomorrow to fix the trim problem I've been having. Sally May will be extra pretty soon. I hope these seats come out nice. Thanks again.

I got the seats back.  I think they look nice.  Now on to the the next project (of course unless I sell the boat first).  Here's before and after pics.

Thanks Pete. I think I'll clean her up and get her in the water before moving to the next thing.

OK everybody, I'm only going into my 6th year of owning this boat but last night I FINALLY put her name on... Tadaaaa    "Sally May" I think she looks sweet!  I also bought the flush mount latch so replacing the broken one and fixing the swim ladder are next.  Tell me whatcha think.

Lol... Thanks fellas for the comments.  I'm Aquasport loyal now so even if I bought another boat, she'd probably be another Aquasport.  Anyway, I know these are just small fixes but, to me, "Sally May" looks better and better.

I had planned to replace the broken latch that secures the fishbox.  Presently, I have to pull on the hatch itself and the broken latch at the same time to open the box.  I bought a replacement at West Marine but it is probably a 16th bigger in diameter than the broken one.  So that's turned this into a small project instead of just plug-in.  Either way and weather permitting, I plan on putting Sally May in the salt waters of Barnegat Bay this weekend and I'm really looking forward to that :D  Hopefully we can all get out this weekend.  The pic below is of the broken latch.  I think a little sanding will let her slide in easily--C ya

This was so easy, my 7 year old could have done it BUT... it's done.  Now on to the trailer lights.
