Mshugg,
What size tabs are on your boat.  The same 9x12 but lencos? or bennet bolts? Just curious, does your boat porpoise with the tabs up?
Thanks

I have a 200 CCP, so it’s a completely different animal than the 170.  I do have a slight porpoise issue, but that’s with a 4 Stroke hung on a Armstrong bracket with a 30” setback.  A bit of tab knocks it right out.  I still need to mount my coffin box forward, and I expect that it’s weight plus ice will eliminate porpoising even without tab.

My tabs are 12x12 Bennet Bolts.  I needed to go with the edge mount style in order to clear my bracket.  I’ve found 12 x 12 to be about perfect for boats in the 20-23 range, and I’ve had the 12x12 hydraulic Bennett’s on three boats, 20’ Hydrasport, 23” Proline and 20’ Mckee Craft.  My Aquasport 170 had transom mounted baitwells, so tabs weren’t really an option.
