Once in I just need to take up the 1/2 inch on either side where I cut the foam. What do you guys recommend for foam? Will this stuff do the trick or anything better?  Also what sealant would you recommend to glue the hatch cover back down?

Are you thinking of foaming in the tank to hold it in place?
If so, are you concerned that water that may work its way into the coffin could end up trapped between the foam and the tank walls? While not everyone is against foaming in the tank, others feel it just leads to corrosion down the road.

Seal your tank hatch with 3M UV 4000. It stays white longer and is easier to clean (think mold/blood stains).

Good luck. :thumright:

Yes that's the idea, foam it in the way it was. I cut about an inch from the port side and aft to get it out so would want to fill to restrict movement of the tank.

I suppose with it strapped down there wouldn't be much movement, or I could drop plastic inserts in to take up the space. That would improve ventilation all around.

Noted on the 3M UV 4000, I'll pickup a couple tubes. Step one is to get some gas in there to make sure everything is working properly before sealing it up!
