Got to the fishing hole shut the key off to kill the outboard. Then a familiar sound, the fast trac motor for the trim starts with no hands on the switch at the motor or helm. Ghostly, but probably not. It was stuck in the down mode. It was only momentary. By the time I got to the ramp, it was continuous. Than goodness it was stuck in the up position. ( Got to have a prop in the water to move water). Disconnected the battery positive terminal and the 3 bullet connectors on the switch inside the cowl. Hooked the battery back up. She auto trimmed down again. Must be the switch at the helm? The motor is on a 175 Aquasport 1998 model with rude 90 hp spl same year with a fast trac .
