Which drain are you referring to? I have one located just under the lid itself and the other is the drain that runs aft through the bottom of the boat. Either way I can't imagine plugging either one as water needs a way out.
My drain located just under the lid has a fitting only. I have future plans to route this to the rear of the boat in hopes to keeping the floor locker dry.
