79 222 Family Fisherman capacity plate
« on: June 13, 2018, 10:21:49 AM »
The original capacity plate for my 79 222 family fisherman isn’t readable.     Does anyone have a pic of theirs they could post so I can remake mine?

If someone doesn't post a pic, you may wish to "back in" to the specs you're having placed on your new plate.

Start here.

Doubt there is much difference (if any really) between the 79 and 80 model years so....
Max HP = 245
Max Capacity= 2000lbs. (people,gear etc)
Max People = here you'll need to make an educated guess. By reviewing other plates, we find that the gear portion of the max capacity averages about 450-500lbs so..

Subtracting 500 from 2000 leaves you with 1500 lbs of human flesh. People are different sizes so average a "person" to be about 165lbs and you end up with 9

Compare that with some of the plates we do have and adjust as desired.

Good luck.
