A blind squirrel just found out that motorcycle shops sell ready made diode kits for LED turn signals.  On my way to see Messers Harley and Davidson.

Another way to do it is to use a DPDT switch and switch the LED power on one pole of the SW and the pump power on the other pole.

The Blue Sea tech said using a DPDT would entail the use of jumpers so I was trying to keep it a simple as I am. Already have the SPDT installed so I'l try the diode.
