Question for SeaBob and anyone else that can help.
« on: October 01, 2011, 07:19:07 AM »
I need to change the access hatch in the floor of the euro transom on my 275 explorer. The new hatch is 4 inches longer than the existingone. I have the room to extend the cutout but I am worried about the structural integrity I dont think there will be an issue but would like some opinions.

DT,
No issues whatsoever.  In fact, I often encourage owners to install larger hatches in their splashwells, it REALLY makes bilge pump maintenance and bilge access a whole lot easier... :thumright:

Thanks Bob the one thats there is not a bad size it leaks into the bilge though right on the macerator for my fish boxes and I have no place to move it to get it out of the way of the hatch.
