Some members have raised the deck as much as 6 inches higher than factory.

Others went 2 inches.

Now that we have separate rebuild threads for many models....will recommend that you go to the Flatback section and research. If you're closing the transom as most Tampa-style rebuilds, you'll probably want to go a bit higher, since they usually run 175's,  200's etc. on jackplates.

Open transom, different story.

The current flatback rebuilders have gleaned much from their predecessors. Will leave it to them for specific advice.

Well finally started the flat back I am from north ft Myers fl good friend of mine is rebuilding it in Punta gorda here are some photos when we first got the boat

You removed the windows? Seems a lot of owners do, not sure why.  Maybe the rearranging of compartments?
I piloted a windowed FB once and thought it was pretty cool to actually "see" the bottom I was over.
They seem to be a scarce item anymore.

Don't "attach" them (pictures), follow the instructions here http://classicaquasport.com/smf/index.php?topic=12725.0
The gallery will resize them to what we need automatically and then posting the IMG code is what you want to copy/paste into your post.  You can open multiple browser tabs to make it easier.
Let me know if you need more help - read the link closely (or a few times) and you should be good.

They were placed in a live well

I'm not sure if they leaked, what would happen other than fill up the livewell more? If I remember right, the livewells didn't have an overflow pipe or way to evacuate extra water.
