1968 Flatback Tampa Area build
« on: September 21, 2016, 10:41:40 AM »
I have acquired a 1968 222 Flatback to be rebuilt for fishing in the Tampa Bay area.  I have been roaming through classicaquasport seeing all the fantastic builds.  Everyone here seems super helpful and willing to share their knowledge.

Lucky me, I don't have to remove the old stringer/deck.

Congrats on the find!! Looks like you have some grinding ahead of you but it should go fast - get a 7" grinder with flat flap sanding wheel, 40 grit. See if the liner on the sides can be removed gently for re-attachment later, you'll need to tie the new floor into the hull sides.
