New owner 1975 22-2, 150 Black Max

Hey folks, I am really excited about my new 1975 22-2 and this site :bounce:  I have been scanning the different topics and can relate to some of the new members desire to rebuild..... I have equipped her with a new Lowrance SD 5 chart plotter/sonar/GPS, and am working on a kicker as we speak. I installed a new seat and am wanting to put some hours on her to get comfortable, before venturing off in the BIG water. Happy sailing and look forward to meeting some of you one day.

Nice too see an old 22-2 join the stable; does she still have the original floor and transom? I know I`m a little jaded, but I still think it was the nicest looking hull they ever produced dispite the self bailing issues that they had that was finally fixed in the later model years.

Yes , she still has the original floor and transom set up, with one small change, a folding panel to function as a sorta splash well. Oh yea different color scheme for sure.... decals.
I am excited about personalizing her.

Good Looking Boat!!  Just out of curiousity, how does the 150 do pushing it around?  I'm shopping for a new engine for mine, and if I can get away with a 150, my wallet (wife) will be more happy.

Beerpilot, thanks for the compliment. I get 36mph @ 5200 rpm. 15gal. per hr. and 26mph @ 3600rpm. 7.5 gal. per hr. That is a 2.0 ltr. 150 black max. She jumps right out, of the water and gets on plane easily... Good luck with the wifllet :salut:
